MIGHT BE YOURS

I've found these laying around after people have left my house.     I've always just thrown them in a jar when I find them.  I don't know who may have lost them, and don't know if you can find which ones are yours if they are in the jar.  They all look alike to me.  If you or anyone else thinks you've lost yours, your welcome to look through my jar.  However, after so long I'm not sure it matters if you find yours or not.   Maybe a couple are YOURS,  you might want to try and reclaim a couple.  Actually a few might be Jakes'.

Sorry, I fed the nuts to the squirrels.

I wasted my day!!!!

My God, I have sat here all day and watched the closing arguments
on the Casey Anthony case.

I'm going to blame it on watching Perry Mason while I was growing up.
I've been waiting all day for the Perry Mason moment when someone in
the courtroom stood up and say, I did it, I did it.  Or better yet,
I was waiting for Jose Baez (the defense attorney) to point to
George Anthony and say he did it.  Well, he basically did that, without the
pointing.

I am a paralegal and should know better, but I have to tell you
it is fascinating how an attorney can twist facts and non-facts to
their advantage.  Quite a bit of theater in the courtroom.

I have followed this case closely and am interested in the outcome,
However, I am probably biased because as a grandmother it makes me
sick to think that George and Cindy Anthony lost their precisious
granddaughter.  I can only imagine their pain.  It would be devasting
at my house to lose a grandchild.  Well, it would break my heart to lose
my daughter as well, but it wouldn't be the same.  I love my kids
very much, but being a grandmother is the better than being a mother.

I CAN'T IMAGINE MY DAUGHTER NOT CONTACTING ME
IMMEDIATELY IF HER CHILD WAS MISSING!!!!!!!!

Glad tomorrow is a Holiday, but I'm not getting up early to
watch the State give their rebuttal closing statement, but you can
bet your sweet tomatoes, I'll be here when the jury comes back with
one of the following:

1.  Not Guilty (acquitted)
2.  Hung Jury (new trial)
3.  Murder (Death Penalty)
4.  Aggravated Child Abuse (life in prison)
5.  Manslaughter (n/years in prison)

  It's up to the jury!!!!!

I think we all know what jurors can do!

afterall, these 12 jurors,

  acquitted this guy!

"if the glove don't fit, you must acquit"

My philosophy on life is people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
and what goes around comes around.

Another Sunday!

Today I was going to do nothing.  However, I ended up doing some yard work and washing windows.  Blah.I can't reach all of the windows, so I just washed the ones that I can see out while sitting on the couch.

I checked the pond and listened to the waterfall.

Watched the fish and wonder if they ever have a worry in the world:

Marveled at the trees and clouds reflection on the water:

and especially enjoyed the sight of this seasons first bloom on the pond lily.

Had a successful and restful Sunday.  Hope all my blog friends and Vicki too had a nice day.

Actually, Mr. Wally had too much catnip and he was drugged up....

I'd live here too if I could have a nip everyday.

Eating Lunch

What a pleasure I had today meeting some lovely ladies, and you too Vicki, who like to blog.
We laughed and told a little about ourselves, probably more than we intended to, and maybe even more than the others wanted to know, but what the hell, that’s what makes us who we are.

We are all from different backgrounds, except me and Vicki, who are actually blood related and grew up together.  We have a lot in common and probably could have spent hours and hours visiting.  Too bad I had to go back to work.

I hope this is the beginning of new and long friendships, even if it’s only in writing and reading.

Thank you blog ladies and new friends, and you too Vicki.

Being a Grandma means everything to me!

I love being a grandma!
I knew when our daughter had children we
would be asked to babysit and be expected
to be there if they needed me.

Well, I didn't realize, when you're are a grandma,
you're a grandma to their pets too.

PawPaw and I had the privilege of tending our Granddog last week.

Teddy was a joy, he helped me work:

Teddy's dad picked him yesterday and I received the following, via phone, 5 minutes down the road,

I think Teddy was worn out or you could say, "dog tired"  when he left Catiz4PawPaw's house after a week.

I must say that Daisy was more than put out that Teddy was here for a week.   She slept on the couch
for two nights.  I wonder who she thought she was hurting?  Ha

Gotta love em!!!!!!!!

Memorial Day

A look into the life of a great granddaugher, granddaughter, daughter, sister and niece on Memorial Day.  Also, a special tribute to my best friend Diane, who became a mother to me and told me she carried me in her heart instead of under her heart.   May you all rest in peace.

I'm starting to mind that I'm getting older!

It's the middle of May already.

 I must of missed .

and

It never bothered me whenever I  turned a year older.

I always thought of it as just another year, especially when

we didn't celebrate my birthday because it is the day after

Christmas.  I can't decide if Christmas sneaks up

on me faster each year or if it's my birthday.

Either way I'm starting to mind getting older.

I'm terribly sad today!!!!

I went to work this morning and Mildred was by the water that has collected in the big dip in the blacktop.  Kinda like a pond.

I hurried to go and check on her eggs and they were GONE!

The nest was empty.

The nest was covered, I saw a little shell, but nothing from 11 eggs, or one for that matter.
I checked in the nest and there were no eggs or little ducks.  It looks like the grounds people had dug up a sprinkler right by her.  My thinking is the grounds people took the eggs.
I actually checked in the dumpster and there wasn't any egg shells.

I hope who took them thinks they can eat them and gets some type of disease.   Like the quack or something.

After Mildred saw me she took another swim around and flew off.  It was like Mildred was waiting for me to come to work and see that she was okay.

I can't believe someone would take the eggs.  Mildred has been sitting there for over three weeks waiting to be a momma.

I was so excited for her to be a momma and couldn't wait for the eggs to hatch to see the ducklings like this.

I hope they get their eyes pecked out by a bird or a duck or seagull flies over and shits on their head.

                          "som-sa-bitches"

Even made me cry!!!!!

My kid.

One night my telephone rang at about 2:30 or 3:00 a.m.  I had un-plugged the telephone in my bedroom for some reason, and had to run down the hall to the kitchen to answer the phone.

My 16 year old daughter was calling.

She sounded like she was in real distress and something bad had happened.

I said, "what's the matter" "where are you" "are you okay"

She said, "there's a mouse in my room"

I said, "what"

"There's a mouse standing on its back legs looking at me"

Robyn, was in her bedroom downstairs and had her own phone line.

I'd probably been mad if it wasn't so funny.

I think the funniest part is she could hear me running down the hall to answer the phone.

Another Holiday

Well, we survived another Holiday.   We had our daughter and her little family over for dinner.  PaPa cooked a ham with cherry sauce and green peas.  Robyn brought funeral potatoes, I made deviled eggs, fruit salad (my own recipe with mini marshmallows and walnuts) and a delicious bunny bread with raisin for eyes and nose.  Maddie really liked it.

The bunny bread was the best, especially since I had given up bread for lent.   I actually took a nap while the bunny was rising and after baking he kind of looks like a mouse.  Maybe, its the angle of the camera.  Anyway, it was yummy.  The grand-kids thought it looked like a bunny, but grand-kids will agree with anything papa and gamma say.   They just love us no matter what.

My oldest granddaughter Hailey, is sitting here playing a game on her I-Pod, my grandson, Ashton was too tired for us and is asleep on the couch.  Maddie who is 6 almost 7 is just being annoying.  However, I wouldn't expect anything else from a mini me.    I have to say being a grandparent is so much fun and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  Five lilies opened today.
